“ Visited whilst on holiday its primarily a seafood serving restaurant for food. The man who took our order was very knowledgeable and gave recommendations on choices when asked It's a very olde world pub don't know without looking when it was first built. “ Four of us each had a wonderful dinner totally exceeding my expectations. A friend had invited us and as the restaurant is a smallish room upstairs at the pub I was just expecting pub grub. Instead we got glorious food and friendly and fun service. Three of us couldn’t resist the halibut for main and it was served perfectly (which for me means not being overwhelmed by a sauce) and like the other courses was a terrific portion. Our table was by a window looking out on the bay but this restaurant does not just trade on its location and everybody in the kitchen and front of house obviously puts in a lot of effort to deliver a great night out. Then to make it even better, the bill was very reasonable! Definitely recommended and definitely going back. Ps exceeding my “expectations” was not a Charles Dickens reference. Those of you who know Broadstairs will know what I mean. ”
“ Eight of us had lunch twice during week away in Ramsgate when walking along coast to Broadstairs. Such a warm welcome, great service, and good food (and beer!). Only had lunch, but think the restaurant upstairs would definitely be worth a visit too. ”
